Eco Tracked Spider Crane Launched at Intermat 2018
Building on the success of the wheeled Eco UNIC mini cranes, UNIC Cranes Europe has announced a tracked version of their battery powered spider crane, which will launch at Intermat from 23rd -28th April.
Developed with Japanese manufacturer Furukawa UNIC, this tracked variant of the zero emissions UNIC spider crane retains all the environmentally friendly benefits of the standard wheeled eco models but is able to travel over rough terrain and operate on uneven surfaces.
This mini spider crane is still compact enough to fit through a standard double door way, yet boasts from an impressive lifting power of up to 2.9 tonnes, without compromising on operational efficiency. These eco-friendly cranes come with a rechargeable 48 Volt battery and have been designed for both external and internal lifting operations in sensitive environments. They are also ideal for companies who are looking to reduce their carbon footprint and impact on the environment.
Graeme Riley, UNIC Cranes Europe CEO, said, “The wheeled version of our Eco spider cranes have been well received by our customers throughout Europe. These machines were originally developed for use in environmentally sensitive areas such as food processing plants, but with an with increasingly environmentally conscious market place, we have seen growing demand for battery powered and hybrid options.
You only need to look at the automotive sector to see that there is a big drive towards developing more environmentally friendly and energy efficient products, with each leading manufacturer taking big steps to include battery powered and dual fuel variants in their range. The decision to develop our cranes in this direction was a natural step for us and it is a testament to our commitment to green innovation and environmental sustainability within the industry”.
The tracked eco spider crane makes its first appearance at Intermat Exhibition in Paris, France from 23 to 28 April 2018 and will be available to see at UNIC Cranes Europe’s stand at number E5 L 026.
