UNIC URW-506 goes back to school with glass installation project.
At Saddleworth School, GGR Group recently completed the installation of six pieces of glass. A UNIC URW-506 spider crane and a P11104 vacuum lifter, two of GGR’s most popular and durable pieces of equipment, were critical to the project’s completion.
As one of GGR’s most powerful spider cranes, the URW-506 was the ideal answer for lifting the 150kg pieces of glass into place, with a three-tonne lifting capacity. The project was completed safely and effectively thanks to the unrivalled combination of the URW-506 and the P11104.
The URW-506 was small and manoeuvrable enough to get into position quickly and then lift the glass up to 13 metres. With a maximum lifting height of 16 metres and a working radius of 15 metres, the URW-506 had no trouble with this operation. This powerful mini spider crane was versatile enough to finish the work while being compact enough to cause the least amount of disruption to the surrounding environment.
This irrepressible combination accomplished the project quickly and efficiently with the help of the trusty P11104 vacuum lifter, which has a maximum capacity of 320kg. This bestselling vacuum lifter was able to complement the lifting capabilities of the URW-506 and install the glass unit with a 180-degree rotation and a 90-degree tilt.
GGR has previously been called in to save the day with a UNIC URW-706-2 and an MRT4 vacuum lifter, adding to the long list of instances GGR Group’s UNIC cranes have been utilised in conjunction with a vacuum lifter.
