UNICs might duo help to keep the lights on in the UK
UNIC Cranes Europe, with over three decades of experience in the lift industry, has been tasked with completing a lift for Nottinghamshire Electricity Board.
We recently played a key role in the installation of a replacement circuit breaker, which took only one day to complete.
Following an in-depth site survey by one of UNIC Cranes Europe’s surveyors, it was quickly determined that the job would necessitate the use of a URW-706 and a Tracked Leveller 6.0.
When the URW-706 arrived, it was tracked all the way up to the substation, where it quickly made light work of the 2000kg circuit breaker. The URW-706 was able to raise and transfer the circuit breaker into place with ease, thanks to its 6 tonne capacity and 19.5m hook height. This compact yet strong crane, with a total width of 1670mm and a maximum operating radius of 18.6m, was able to perform the lift safely and effectively.
By loading the circuit breakers and moving them down the path to the substation, the Tracked Leveller completed this dynamic duo. This eco-friendly Hybrid Tracked Leveller has a lifting capability of 6000kg and is equipped with bi-levelling technology for optimal manoeuvrability. The Tracked Leveller 6.0 is fully controlled by a radio remote control with digital feedback, allowing users to stand at a safe distance while operating the equipment.
The URW-706 has assisted with a variety of lift projects, including the replacement of some failed glass units and projects at Chester Canal. Please contact us at info@ggrgroup.com for additional information on how UNIC Cranes Europe can assist you.
