Escalator Assemble Easy Work for UNIC Mini Crane
When it comes to internal lifting operations UNIC mini spider cranes are the perfect lifting solution thanks to their compact size, small working footprint and heavy lifting capacity.
The 6-tonne capacity, UNIC URW-706 mini spider crane was recently hired to help lift, place and assemble two escalators in the Ostarava Hl. Narazi main train station, in the Czech Republic.
The UNIC URW-706 was selected for this project thanks to its slender chassis and lifting power. This mini crane was able to pass through the entrance of the station with just a 1cm gap between the crane and doorway! These types of projects are where UNIC mini spider cranes come into their own, there are very little lifting solutions on the market that can easily gain access through a standard double doorway.
Once successfully making its way to its lifting location, the UNIC URW-706 mini crane then had to lift four 1.5 tonne parts of the escalator up to the first floor, ready for it to be assembled.
The UNIC URW-706 was hired from our dealer in the Czech Republic and was operated by our Polish Dealer, Bamodz, to ensure successful completion of this project.
The UNIC 706 is one of the biggest mini cranes in the range, possessing 6 tonnes of lifting power, yet still compact enough for lifting in a confined space.
The UNIC URW-706 can be controlled from the operators driving seat or by a fully function radio remote control for precise placement of loads. Digital feedback and data logging are also available as extras.
