A Mini Crane worth every penny
Established in 864 AD, the Monnaie de Paris is one of the country’s oldest institutions, with amazing 18th Century buildings on the River Seine, Paris which are still used to produce medals and decorative coins. The 6 tonne capacity UNIC URW-706 worked inside the 18th Century neoclassical buildings to help reinvent them as part of the “MétaLmorphose” project.
The mini crane lifted a 2800kg mini excavator out of one section of the building which will later become new exhibition space and a Guy Savoy restaurant. Easily able to make its way to this restricted access area, the crane’s boom was positioned to reach through a doorway and hoist up the excavator below it.
