UNIC Cranes Europe, in partnership with our trusted UAE dealer Spider Plus, recently supported a standout glazing project at a private villa on the Saadiyat Island, Abu Dhabi. At the heart of the operation was the powerful yet compact UNIC URW-547 spider crane, expertly chosen for its ability to handle heavy loads in confined spaces.
Spider Plus deployed the URW-547 to lift and install 18 oversized glass windows, each weighing around 1 tonne and measuring 3 metres by 2 metres. Working with such large, delicate materials in a premium residential setting required a solution that could offer both strength and precision.
To reach the installation point, the mini crane itself was lifted to the first floor of the villa — a testament to the crane’s flexibility and Spider Plus’s technical know-how. Once in place, the URW-547 worked alongside the Hydraulica 2000 Maxi vacuum lifter, which provided secure suction and safe handling for each glass panel during the install.
