Unic mini spider cranes and a range of vacuum lifters and accessories were brought to Prague Zoo recently to help glaze their new hippo pavillion.
A Unic URW-095 mini crane and MRTA6 vacuum lifter were used to lift heavy glass units around the hippo enclosure to create viewing galleries. A GL-UM600 Glass Manipulator was attached to the compact crane to precisely manoeuvre glass loads in the indoor space, whilst a larger 4 tonne capacity Unic URW-547 model was also hired to lift heavier 950kg units in the outdoor pool area.
The minimal dimensions of Unic mini cranes meant that they proved to be invaluable pieces of lifting equipment for use on the zoo’s restricted access construction site.
