At just 595mm wide and 1000kg, the UNIC URW-094 is the world’s smallest and lightest mini crawler crane, and the smallest spider crane in the UNIC range.

Small enough to go anywhere
Folded, the URW-094 measures just 1870mm long, 595mm wide and 1290mm high. That compact footprint lets it pass through a standard doorframe and manoeuvre into the most confined working areas, from building interiors to narrow side passages.
At 1000kg, it is light and easy to transport between sites. Its tracks spread that weight to a ground pressure of only 36.3kPa, which helps protect floors, paving and lawns. For delicate interior surfaces, optional low marking tracks are available.
The tracked undercarriage travels at up to 2.2km/h with stepless forward and reverse drive, and handles gradients of up to 20°.
Big lifting power in a mini crane
With outriggers at maximum extension, the URW-094 lifts its full 995kg out to a 1.5m radius, and still handles 800kg at 2m. Its four-section boom extends from 1.73m to 5.49m, giving a maximum hook height of 5.6m and a working radius of up to 5.17m. At full boom length, it lifts 660kg at 2.4m.
It is quick, too. The boom telescopes 3.76m in about 17 seconds, derricks from 0° to 78° in about 6.5 seconds and slews a continuous 360°. Hook speed is roughly 8.5m per minute. The standard 2-fall hook takes the full 995kg, while an optional 1-fall hook block doubles the rope length for loads up to 600kg.
Radio remote control comes as standard, so the operator can choose the safest, clearest view of every lift. Intelligent throttle activation raises engine speed only when it is needed, for better fuel economy and less noise.
Outriggers, power and safety
The URW-094’s multi-position outriggers can be configured to suit the space available. Rated loads are published for each setting, from maximum to minimum extension, so lifts can be planned around whatever footprint the site allows.
Power comes from a 5.5kW Mitsubishi petrol engine with electric and recoil start. An optional LPG dual fuel system gives a cleaner-burning alternative for indoor and enclosed work.
Standard safety equipment includes:
- A computer-controlled intelligent voice warning system
- An overwinding alarm
- Automatic hook stow
The crane should not be used in wind speeds above 36km/h (22mph or 10m/s).
What can the URW-094 be used for?
The URW-094 is made for lifting in the most confined and compact working areas, where even other mini cranes are too big.
- Glass installation: placing glass panels, windows and shopfronts, often working indoors through doorways and corridors.
- Cladding: lifting cladding panels into position on extensions, refurbishments and tight urban sites.
- Steel: moving beams, lintels and steelwork inside buildings and on small structural projects.
- Interior refurbishment: lifting materials and fixtures inside homes, offices, shops and heritage buildings.
- Residential and garden projects: reaching back gardens through side gates and passages to lift stone, slabs, timber and garden structures.
- Plant and equipment: positioning machinery, units and heavy components in basements, plant rooms and service areas.
If a job needs close to a tonne lifted somewhere a bigger crane simply can’t reach, the URW-094 is the machine for it.
