At a busy industrial site in Ras Al Khaimah, our trusted dealer Spider Plus once again demonstrated the strength and versatility of UNIC mini spider cranes. Tasked by Tekzone Industrial Construction to lift and precisely position twelve large storage tanks for a new liquid detergent facility at Falcon Pack, Spider Plus delivered an impressive performance using the UNIC URW-706.
This project came with its share of challenges – height restrictions, confined working space, and radiuses that exceeded the limits of standard equipment. Spider Plus needed a machine that could combine compact size with powerful lifting capability, and the URW-706 was the perfect fit. With a lifting capacity of up to 6 tonnes and an outstanding reach, the URW-706 can easily operate in tight spaces without compromising on performance.
The team lifted eight tanks weighing 600kg each (4 metres high and 2 metres wide) and four larger tanks weighing 900kg (6 metres high and 2 metres wide). Each tank had to be lifted, held in mid-air for the installation of load cells, and then carefully positioned in its exact designated spot; a task that required both strength and precision.
Thanks to the skill of the Spider Plus operator and the reliability of the UNIC URW-706, the entire lift was completed smoothly within just six hours. Tekzone was delighted with the results, praising the efficiency and accuracy of the process from start to finish.
