UNIC Mini Spider Cranes Working at Height
The 6 tonne capacity UNIC URW-706 mini spider crane is a firm favourite amongst our customers who need a machine with generous reach and a high lifting capacity that can work in restricted access spaces in city centres.
Here’s how our powerful UNIC URW-706 model was used to help install high level glazing in hard to reach spots.
CityPoint, London
This UNIC URW-706 mini crane was hired to help install some canopy glazing at the CityPoint building in central London. The 35 storey skyscraper is the fifth tallest building in the London.
The compact spider crane was able to work on the pavement outside the building while a rope access team installed the units on the canopy.
The Rose Bowl, Leeds
A UNIC URW-706 crane was used to help replace a broken unit on the third floor of the Rose Bowl building at Leeds Beckett University (formerly known as Leeds Metropolitan University).
The compact crane easily worked in the limited space between the building and the nearby roadside.
The City Academy, Hackney
This UNIC mini crane was used to replace a broken unit at The City Academy in Hackney, London.
The URW-706 was used to install the new 335kg tall unit at a 17 metre height at the school.
Our UNIC URW-706 spider crane model has also worked on other glazing projects at the past at the Olympic Park Aquatics Centre and the Shard skyscraper.
