UNIC URW-506 for Denmark
A UNIC URW-506 mini spider crane has been shipped and delivered to Denmark from the UK in just five days following an urgent enquiry from UNIC Cranes Europe’s Danish dealer, Lissner Aps.
Upon delivery to Lissner’s customer, the URW-506 headed straight to its first lifting project for Stena Line, one of the world’s largest ferry operators. The crane is being used to replace all of the windows on one of their major ferries, where it will remove old glass and install the new glass as part of ongoing refurbishment works. The newly purchased UNIC URW-506 delivers a maximum lifting height of 16m yet still has the ability to fit through a double doorway and lift up to 3 tonnes. This mini crane also features a Lift-Smart Advanced Safety System which includes overwinding alarm, computer controlled intelligent voice warning system, intelligent throttle activation and audio-visual warning device for an enhanced safety when the machine is in operation.
Jan Moller Christensen Head of Sales at Lissner Aps commented “The quick turnaround of this delivery could only be completed because of our close and long standing relationship with UNIC Cranes Europe. I would like to thank the dedicated team in the UK, the transport and the hard work of the staff at the workshop that made a quick and great effort to get this machine delivered in just five days after the order had been received”.
Thomas Meheust, European Sales Manager for UNIC Cranes Europe commented “Our ability to be able to prepare, ship and deliver the UNIC URW-506 in just five days is a testament to the hard work and seamless operations of our team here in the UK.
It is great to see that UNIC mini cranes are proving their worth as practical lifting solutions for projects in the Ferry Industry. The UNIC URW-506 will provide quick and safe solutions for lifting a variety of glazing materials during important maintenance and renovation work for the ferry. The fact this machine is able to fit through a standard double doorway makes it the ideal machine for travelling through small spaces and operating in the types of confined spaces you are likely to find on-board”.
