UNIC Crane Works on Hydroelectric Dam
A UNIC URW-376 mini spider crane was recently hired from Spider Mini Cranes SA to help lift and place materials at a Hydroelectric Dam in Bloemfontein, Free State, South Africa.
Selected for its heavy lifting capacity and compact working footprint, the UNIC URW-376 was lowered into the dam to assist with steel erection to help repair the pumps and motors.
The UNIC URW-376 mini crane benefits from a lifting capacity of up to 2.9 tonnes making it ideal for heavy weight lifting projects in internal or external environments like this dam.
This mini crane boasts from a lifting height of up to 14.9 metres and features a six section hydraulic boom to allow a maximum working radius of 14.45m.
The UNIC URW-376 spider crane includes a Lift-Smart Advanced Safety System, where the crane uses a safe load indicator to prevent the crane operating outside of its safe working envelope.
