Paul O’Grady takes control of a UNIC mini crane on The One Show
A UNIC mini spider crane had a prime time slot last night as it appeared on BBC’s The One Show.
Television presenter Paul O’Grady took on the challenge to operate a 3 tonne capacity UNIC URW-506 mini crane that was outside the One Show studios at BBC Broadcasting House in London, UK.
In tribute to Paul’s Merseyside roots, he was challenged to lift a 100kg model ferry across a mini River Mersey and park it in a replica of the Albert Dock using this baby crane. One Show presenters Matt Baker and Alex Jones looked a little concerned that Paul’s mini crane operating skills weren’t quite up to scratch as red crane started to swing the load over the watching crowd.
Paul seemed to enjoy his time as a UNIC mini crane operator and said he wanted to “drive it home”! Maybe he could start a new career as an operator after more practice and some proper training!
